I feel Nigeria should and could have won this game. Never mind about the clear penalty that wasn’t given, their composure in front of goal left a lot to be desired, and it cost them dearly. Nice to finally see a pen given for WWF/Common Assault type defending as well. Maybe now the likes of Javier Mascherano (who’s made a career out of this kind of strong-arm stuff in the box) and his ilk might get the message at long last? Oh yeah and shouldn’t your man have been sent off, of the field of play to get a bleeding wound attended to? Just a thought.

All this and France v Argentina to come…blinding.
