the Canaries, Throstles and Eagles :
all preyed upon and prayed for –
glued fast
to a perch labelled relegation

Joining them, as cuttlebone
the South coast Saints

So who is it will fly the dreaded coop?
They need talent, not talons now.
Will it be the powerful wing(er)s
of the avian squads,
or will we see the beatific stripes
acsending to the Gods?
