Last Game Before Christmas It Was!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 North London was silent
As rain tumbled down
Last game before Christmas it was
Midst a library of silence
A French school-teacher frowned,
Pondering what had been lost.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 A team in The North
Without kicking a ball
Put some distance tween them and the pack
Yule tide leaders of course
Doesn’t mean anything at all
If you don’t keep the winning on track.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Will the placing’s remain
As they are at the moment
Where a blanket could cover all five?
Or are Chelsea in reverting back to a game
That sure ain’t pretty to watch, letting us know
Their titles shot’s very much alive?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 We’re unbeaten in ten
V The Gooners
So the French teachers very aware
The Emirates men
Needs victories sometime soon or
They’ll be left watching…..
The sight of the packs fast disappearing derriere!

Notes

After some strange results from us just recently, eclipsed only by our even stranger performances, we revert back to our: Can’t win, then don’t lose old stylee at The Library last night to spoil The Gooners Christmas Party (sic) big-time. Where it seemed as if I could only hear fans of the West Londoners cheering at times, on my telly, I really must get that checked out?

This seasons title race could and should hopefully be a real cracker (sic).

Carefree… braised in Celery.

Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy and Prosperous New Year to fellow poets and fans everywhere.

Go well, be lucky and keep smiling.

Peace.

Kev.
