Losing the Passion

You follow them home and away
through thick and thin
you keep on going
lose, draw, or win.

But when do you stop
that’s it and call it a day
your enthusiasm has gone
you no longer want to see them play ?

This club you’ve loved for years
no longer stirs the Soul
you’re not even bothered
if they score a great goal.

Your mates say what’s wrong ?
this isn’t the real you
you’re usually full of passion
but now your mood is Blue.

Maybe I’ve run out of steam
had enough of feeling low
as I’ve reached that stage
when I can’t be bothered to go.

I hope I can snap out of it
start feeling like a fan again
but there must come a time
when you’ve had enough of all the pain ?
