1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 We all gathered together in Gosford Green
turned the park a sea of Sky Blue
Coventry City fans standing defiant
against the move to Northampton and SISU.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Walking together as One to Broadgate
led by two Lady Godiva’s on the way
it felt like 87 all over again
when we celebrated our Cup win that day.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Songs were being sung as we marched
belted out with gusto and pride
people of Coventry shoulder to shoulder
young and old side by side.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Rousing speeches spoke with passion
from M.P.’S, fans, and ex players too
but will it all make any difference
to our adversary who are called SISU.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 But we need to stay here in Coventry
and I hope and pray that we do
but Saturdays march has shown me
that we’re all still proud to wear the Sky Blue !

Notes

I went on a march on Saturday with around Five thousand other City fans and people from Coventry who came along to show their support.
It was a great turn out and the mile and half march was loud with cars beeping their horns to show their backing. In the City centre there were speeches from disgusted politicians and others who really let rip against the owners who have put us in this mess,and music too with a Coventry Football Club theme.All in all it was a powerful few hours showing how much we are against any move out of our City.
The main firm we detest is SISU a London hedge fund who are so arrogant they don’t understand the passion we have for our club.
But I have to give mega respect to two Wimbledon fans and a fan of Ipswich who travelled to give us support, I will never forget that !
