The game I buried

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Now, I am old;
I have hung up my soccer boots
And have kicked my soccer ball away,
Into the humid night.
No more playing.
I am a dying star,
Yearning to retrogress to England
Where I attempted my first kick.
I am old…I am old;
Now, it’s goodbye.
All my passion suddenly had faded like the rainbow’s colors.
The passion to shoot and score,
The passion to show off my talented foot work,
The passion to run after the ball
The passion to tackle my opponents,
The passion to celebrate my golden goals,
All buried…
I miss being the “hero of the match”,
I miss being in the game,
I miss
Soccer…soccer…nothing but soccer.
