Grown men stand weeping
as the Bulldozers move in
the end of an era.

The old football ground
stood over a century
replaced by houses.
¶ 3

Flats and a Car Park
where once football was played out
now cover the pitch.
¶ 4

I can hear the crowds
look up and see the Floodlights
memories remain.

Our old football ground
gone but never forgotten
