The Perfect Midfield

Robbie Savage can mix it, he never gives in,
He plays every game so determined to win.
Lee Sharpe, what a player! I remember him well,
Sublime in the touch ‘ere he finally fell.
Beside him, Roy Keane, Man United’s boy wonder,
A tactical brain and a tackle like thunder.
Who recalls David Speedie? The heart of an ox
And always determined to get in the box.

So my perfect midfield, if I were quite greedy,
Would have to be keen, sharp and savage and speedy.
