And the inevitable fall from grace

Upon the chest of the football fraternity
The devoted stand to the test

Throughout years of troubles and tribulations
Along the hard road winding back

Lie the unrequited prayers
Saint Jude embraces the laden believers
And guides them to their daily bread

And the supporters’ pound of flesh
