splashed across the back
Marlon King is off to Brum
to lead their new attack.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 There must be some mistake
Marlon said he wants to stay
because only last week
he said he’d never walk away.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Birmingham aren’t in the Premier
there now in the Championship
you have said you love us fans
and your proud to wear the City strip.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 When opposing fans were booing
and slagging off your name
we got well behind you
and helped to raise your game.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 You thanked us for helping you
when others didn’t want to know
but that has been forgotten
as off to our local rivals you go.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 I’m hoping this is just paper talk
as you can’t believe all that you read
but it says their offering more money
in that case then it’s just greed.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 So Marlon if you do go to Brum
the fans you thanked won’t like that
the paper has already summed it up
there calling you the King Rat !

Notes

It looks like Marlon King is swapping the Sky Blue for Dark Blue,if they were a Premier team it wouldn’t be so bad but to go to a local rival in the same division is hard to take at the moment.
He was named our player of the season and he said he was so grateful for the support we gave him when no other club wanted to know him seeing he’d just come out of prison etc.
So much for staying loyal then !
