Very Sad Or What?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 How sad it is or so it seems to me
As “The Show” gets on the road
That one who was an also ran
Deems it time to shed his load

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Do we need to be reminded
Of what could and should have been
Or is a cynical publisher with no morals
Cadging a ride off the England team

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Of course it saddens me to see a star
Whose career failed to peak
But how many autobiographies on one mans fall from grace
Do we true fans really need?

Call me a cynic but….. do we need another book on a fallen star just as the World Cup is coming up?

Some publishers it would seem have no depths to which they won’t sink to sell a book albeit ghost written on a clearly troubled man.
