Very Worrying!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 “There’s no longer a big four” said David Platt
“There’s a big two followed by a twenty point gap”

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 If the above is the case I’m extremely worried
Are such comments, banal, out of order
I would hate to see the English Premier league
Be like that of our neighbours, just north of the border

At half time in the Arsenal v Chelsea match, on Sunday, David Platt made these comments, which I found, thinking about them afterwards, to be very worrying, our league needs to be more competitive if it’s to keep it’s appeal as one of the best in the World.

A two horse race? I’m not so sure, but a twenty point gap to the two teams below the first two is not healthy for anybody, whichever way you look at it.

After all, where’s the interest or excitement if the same two teams are battling it out for the major domestic honours every season, surely it just becomes boring? Who as true football supporters would want that?
