Every home game they’re sat there
He can at times get quite emotionally weary
And his Richard? She don’t really care.

They talk to each other pre kick off
Then cease as the two teams run out
Then she gets wired up to her I-Pod

Her eyes shut, she rock and rolls gently
To the tunes that caress her slight lugs
While he looks like he’s losing it mentally

She nips out for coffee at half time
While he applauds some old ageing star
Then she returns to her radio’s life line
As he stands up waving his scarve.

When proceeding have ended she’s looking refreshed
Cool and well chilled out by her tunes
And her man who has just seen his idols play as bad as it gets
The journey home won’t come a minute too soon

“Did you catch that last fabulous save?

“Sorry babe but I was tuned into family favourites”

“Did you see the ref miss a certain offside goal
And that corner he gave was a joke”.
“I’m sorry babe, I can’t lie, but for the last forty five
I was tuned into Paul Gambuccini’s American chart show!”.
