I’ve reached my century
Who’d have thought it
Me a football fan from Coventry.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 One hundred and still going strong
Is that a fanfare I hear ?
Will you be celebrating with champagne ?
Nah, just a takeaway and a bottle of beer.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The post has been delivered to my door
Could that be a telegram from the queen ?
I bet that one is from a publisher
They’ll want to feature me in HELLO magazine.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Anyway I don’t want lots of fuss
I’ve told them please no publicity
But thanks for that massive cheque
But to me it’s just a pastime and a hobby.

So I’ve reached a ton and like I’ve just written I can’t believe it, but I’ve really enjoyed it all and just like a football season it’s been a rollercoaster ride. So thanks to all at Football Poets,for giving me the opportunity to send in my stuff, all the best.
