I had to make a choice
I could sit around and mope all day
Or go and see the boys

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 So for three hours that final Saturday
Instead of sitting sad indoors
I went and watched me idols,
I stood at White Hart Lane and bawled

The house felt really strange
There’s a note pinned on the mirror
Next to fixture list of games

And that he was the one
I’d been dumped and then been cheated on
By a geezer from South London

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 She’s with a Crystal Palace fan
She goes to every game
But then football in South London’s
Not the same as White Hart Lane

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 She could have had the lot with me
Travel, love, my all
But there’s some places I won’t go
To watch the Spurs perform

Since sadly we did part
Every time that they get beat
It soothes my broken heart

So poignantly they start
I even learned to cook for her
Try my chicken a la carte?

I must get with me life
Though I wish her well
I can tell that Palace are in strife

Whilst their’s is on the wane
She could be sitting at White Hart Lane with me
Taking in the game

And will not stoop to malice
But there’s one thing I will not do
Thats go and watch Crystal Palace!
