Went ringing through the stand,
And to a man, the fans all rose
To give their team a hand.

As he waited for a free.
“The fans are standing up for us,
It’s marvellous to see.

‘Let’s repay this gesture by
Going on to win the Cup.
It brings a teardrop to my eye
To see them standing up.”

“How right you are,” said Stewie Byrne,
“It really is too sweet.
It brings a lump up to my throat
To see them on their feet.
