Boxing Day

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Put on your radio, they’re singing yuletide tunes
Some songs make us think, others get stuck in our heads
They’re wishing for peace on earth and a white christmas
But for us football fans the song “Let it snow”
Is quite the catch twenty two
As whilst a white christmas is all very well and good
We don’t want our Boxing Day clash to be postponed
Especially if its the local derby
Long gone are the days when football was played
In two foot of snow, I’m too young to remember those days
But now if there’s snow on Boxing Day, no matches have we
Though it seems as though this year
We football fans have nowt to worry about
Seems there won’t be snow this christmas
And we get the present of football
