Football’s Room 101

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I don’t like divers
so throw them all in,
give them a straight red card
as it’s a footballing sin.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Some owners of our clubs
who because of their wealth,
do whatever they like
but they’re bad for our health.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 People who support a “big” team
but have never been to their ground,
throw them into Room 101
where they can’t make a sound.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Overpriced football merchandise
they must be having a laugh ?
you need to take out a loan
just to buy a shirt and a scarf.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Three hundred grand a week
for that Rooney has to go in,
and so too his avaricious agent
both deserve George Orwell’s dustbin.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 So who else should go in Room 101
as there has to be so many more ?
how about that expensive striker
who couldn’t hit a barn door !

Notes

Room 101 revisited as I wrote on this a while back.
Anymore who should go in there ?

Editors attempts:

the sound of homophobia
it has no place at all
racism in any form
‘espec’lly in football

over-zealous managers
their wild touchline displays
the price of food in stadiums
the poor fan always pays

those multi-coloured football boots
that glare and make no sense
the advert planes that take off
around them on the fence
