This Liverpool.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I wasn’t at Anfield last night
I was at home in Appin
Glued to the radio, hoping always hoping
In our little corner of Scousedom here in Argyll
And Klopp spot on when he spoke of this Liverpool heart
Beating madly WILDLY extraordinarily
Overwhelming stars out of the sky
He knows what he knows, we know.
The Kop Choir, roaring with magnitude
Blistered the nerves of the Catalonia Blaugrana
Aye, those songs give wings to the heels
Bless limbs with the fire of angels
And cull the tide of doubt, once again,
I wasn’t at Anfield last night,
But my heart was,
Stripped of its cynicism, purged of its pessimism, a child again…
This Liverpool.

Notes

Never Give Up. Never Ever Give Up.

I imagine 250,000 people will say they were at Anfield last night! 🙂
