At the bottom but still fighting

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Three home wins on the trot
but alas still no wins away
that’s why we’re still at the bottom
even though we won again on Saturday.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Boro thought it would be easy
an easy three points for sure
but for a team who are near the top
I thought at times they looked poor.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The Sky Blues played some nice stuff
and banged three goals in the Boro’s net
they are showing grit and determination
because the fat lady isn’t singing just yet.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Our fans got behind the team all the match
it felt good to be wearing the Sky Blue
our two new signings played well
with Nimely scoring one and making two.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So our battle for survival is now on
while us fans just hope and pray
can Coventry City beat the drop ?
yes if we can start winning games away !

Notes

Another home win, that’s three on the bounce but we are the only club in the football league without an away win.

So we deserve to be where we are with that terrible statistic, but you can’t complain about the effort the players are showing.

It always makes me baffled though as to why players start to do well when the team is struggling, why not do it from the start of the season ?

Still at least they’re not giving up yet !
