A quite wonderful season
That really takes some believing
Is about to draw to it’s close
Where a team and a man
Has proved that chalices can
Be won without shed-loads of dough.

We can make all the excuses
As our reasons for losing
Berating the ref being one
Yet Ranieri simply bears it and grins
Shrugs it off as part of the business
and gets back with his team on the bus.

At last a man with some real moral fibre
Has climbed and conquered The Eiger
Known as The Premier League
While has passion, nouse, and humor
Bode well for the future
If he can hold on the stars in his team?

So a big up Leicester
and the much traveled court jester
Whom the hacks – here – have ridiculed in the past
At the top of the league
Where I’m quite certain he
Is as is his way, modestly…having the last laugh!
