Finn Harps again down in Tolka,
A team coming into their prime.
We still can’t forget
The last time we met,

Thank God we didn’t get Longford,
Thank God we didn’t get Bohs.
Imagine the talk
Had we come out with Cork,
So it could have been worse, I suppose.

On the other hand, why not some minnows
Who won’t put up much of a fight?
We’d put eight on the board,
For they’d be overawed,
And bemoan their impossible plight.

But whoever we’d drawn, we’d be cheering
And shouting until we were hoarse,
And with confidence high,
We’d expect to get by,
Unless we’d got Sligo, of course.
