1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 European Glory beckons
And makes no judgements
On content and style
She simply smiles
“A swan is a swan
Just as graceful as those
With finer feathers”
Glory comes in all shapes
And sizes
We know, we’ve seen her shirts
Of many colours
And our EEEGGGOOOORRR
Our lovely gentle
Patient long suffering
Big Croatian
Mocked and laughed at
Even booed by his own at times
Is laughing longest now
With the widest proudest smile.

Notes

“Champions League, We’re havin’ kebabs
Champions League, We’re havin’ kebabs
Champions League, We’re havin’ kebabs
Champions League, We’re havin’ kebabs”

“I was born by the banks of the Mersey
Facin the Irish Sea
It might not look like heaven to you
But its home sweet home to me”
