Manchester City 2 Norwich City 1

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 If a picture paints a thousand words
This almost pencilled in a draw
A worthy performance brushed aside
As we did our best to score

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Chalk it up to experience
A gutsy defeat will have to do
Almost got a hard earned point
But ‘we woz robbed’ by the boys in blue

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 We can only hope for better
As Neil works upon our men
Not quite back to the drawing board
But we could have done without that pen

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 (at least they weren’t shouting Easel! Easel!)

Notes

We didn’t play for a draw, but almost got one. It finally fell apart on 89 minutes. Good effort, good game – conceded a penalty, went down to ten men, cheered a Hart howler, despaired at a Ruddy ricket and shrugged as Man City missed a second pen.

We’re running hard to stand still and the quicksand of relegation is sucking at our feet. I feel for Alex Neil, he has to face the disappointment of Delia and her mum after each game. He reckons it’s the hardest part for him; gotta love the guy.
