Let the spot lights guide the British lions
And the green turf dazzle their enemies.
Let Rooney shoot the enemies planes and Owen sink their ships.
Let their world cup success carry them to the last match
And let the victory be honey so England yearns to taste.
Let the chants of their fans vibrate defending champions, Brazil
And the white sea of scarves cover yesterday¡¯s agony.
Let the Goddesses bless each player with might and courage
And the Gods give them wings to soar beyond the zenith of joy.
Let the host nation, Germany kneel to beg them for peace
And the powerful weapons of Italy be dropped onto the soggy soil.
Let the tears of joy flood Europe, Asia, Africa, America and Australia
And the cry of happiness echo from the Earth to the moon, stars and sun.
In the hearts of these soccer heroes, there is only one word, ¡° WIN.¡±
