Shankly’s Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 He stands his arms stretched open wide
To welcome Reds each one and all
A red scarf with love is warmly tied
A song upon his lips to call
The faithful through the golden gates
To watch the Mighty Reds
“Are we in heaven?” whispered they
“Aye, This Is Anfield” Shankly said.

Notes

“I was born by the banks of the Mersey
Facin the Irish Sea
It might not look like heaven to you
But its home sweet home to me”
