No Chance. Romance.

A ruse to suss-out her current beau
Brede asked him would he like to go…
“Over The Bridge”, to pay homage to the chaps
“You mean…you’re like a die-hard Chelsea fan?”,
“S’right babe, bleating proud of it I am
So, wassit to be? Wanna go see a match?”.

Anyways…a week or so flies by
The recent sparkle in Brede’s eye
Ain’t been in touch since that Saturday afternoon
So, she bells him on the dog
Turns out her beau ain’t on his Todd
Judging by the racket she can hear in his front-room?

“Babe, Brede, everything okey doke twixt you and me?
Only, you’ve not called, and barely said a dicky
After the match, “At The Bridge”, the other week?”,

“Hmm…Brede, can I call you back in ten
The North London Derby, will be over with by then”
How’s that sound?”. Beep…beep…beep…beep…beep…beep.

Peace.
