On the shirt of the full back Ted Hardy.
It wasn’t a jersey, I heard someone say,
But a six-button lambswool red cardie.

Like Ted, their undoubtable star, did.
But the ref wasn’t fooled – he knew something was wrong,
And poor Ted was forlornly red cardied.
