A footballing lesson.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I remember a game in 96′
When we all went home delighted
We had just scored Five at St James’ Park
The opposition ? Manchester United.
So the club produced a video
And called it ‘Howay the lads Five -0 ‘
For results like these are pretty rare
And believe me I should know.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Now they say revenge is pretty sweet
A dish best served up cold
And while ‘The Toon’ keep chasing rainbows
The Red’s keep winning gold.
This season they have destroyed us
As our hurt goes on and on
The aggregate score in our two league games
Is an embarrassing…… Eleven to One.

Notes

Manchester United were supreme on Tyneside on Saturday Feb 23rd a pure delight to watch, One small consolation to us suffering Geordies is that Michael Carrick who oozed class in midfield is a local lad.
