A Mass of Mascots

Well we’ve had some dreamers
And seen some screamers
(though not too many of late)
But tonight a new face will be unveiled
At Carrow Road with capacity gate

We’ve all heard the rumours
Speculation and murmurs
(gossip spreads faster than ‘flu)
We greet our arrival as our season derails
Well I don’t believe it, do you?

Let’s hear it for – “Aviva the Lemur”
New mascot to join our support team-ers
(he has big shiny green boots)
With a stonking great big stripey tail
And he eats mammals, insects and fruit

What’s that you say? Lemur!
From Fame Academy? No, that was Lemar
(we’re cutting edge round here)
We get our players from bargain rails
But mascots are far from rare

We’ve got a Canary, a Cat, and now a Lemur
admittedly better than a striker with a broken femur
(With no offence to our furry friends)
But we’d rather have goals! – points! – signings!
Once again the gloom descends
