A season too far.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 If someone had told me right at the start
That this game of football would tear me apart
But would I have listened ? Probably not
I chose Newcastle United, So deserve all I’ve got.
I could go on forever about our troubles and strife
But supporting my club is part of my life
Oh there has been the odd season
Although few and far between
Which left me wondering just what might have been.
Keegan’s entertainers, with an abundance of flair
Had one hand on the title, then utter despair.
And I have seen many great players
Wearing the black and the white
And many incompement managers
Who did not get things right.
And with another new season on the horizon
My expectations are minimal, which is hardly surprising
So I’ll watch non league football, until these owners have gone
My faith may have been tested
But my passion lives on.

Notes

Carroll sold, Nolan sold, Barton not offered new contract, And when will Alan Pardew call my team Newcastle United……and not NEWCARSLE UNITED.
