At the End of the Day

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 At the end of the day the bright sun has gone down.
At the end of the day there is dark all around.
At the end of the day you reflect and take stock.
At the end of the day you can’t turn back the clock.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 At the end of the day if your Team got it right,
You can head for the pub and knock back a few pints.
But if you only drew, or were wholly outplayed,
Then you won’t feel too good at the end of the day.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 At the end of the day not a grain of time’s left
To rage or reproach, to repent or regret.
All roads have been travelled, all rivers been crossed,
The Scoreboard speaks clearly, you’ve won, drawn or lost.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 At the end of the day when the whistle has blown,
You may think you’re hard done by, be tempted to moan.
Well, you get what you get in this Life, I’m afraid.
And there’s nowt more to say at the End of the Day.
