It was heart-rending,
Though neither team was proud of their defending,
We’re still contending,
Oh yeah,
We’re back on track again.

Then Dublin matched it,
But almost from the re-start, Buzzer snatched it.
How he despatched it!
Oh yeah,
We’re back on track again.

The Reds were calmer,
For they’d been reading all about the Dalai Lama.
Who’s Carlton Palmer?
Oh yeah,
We’re back on track again.

And went bananas,
And proudly waved our hats and scarves and banners.
Though critics pan us,
Oh yeah,
We’re back on track again.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Though it was bruising,
And, yes, confusing,
At the end of it, we found it so amusing.
We’re done with losing,
Oh yeah,
We’re back on track again.

Quite advantageous,
Anybody there found it contagious.
It was courageous,

And quite auspicious,
It was better than a fortnight in Mauritius.
Though it was vicious,
Oh yeah,
We’re back on track again.

Cork found it frightful,
And many of their fans are somewhat spiteful.
Our cup is quite full,
Oh yeah,
We’re back on track again.
