Each Dog Has His Day

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The fingers point, they taunt and jeer
As the best team moves from the top
They’d better listen and they might hear
That they are about to drop

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Like hounds that hold the stag at bay
Their courage comes from the throng
But unlike the stag, top teams have their day
To prove the loudmouths wrong

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 They snigger and smirk, with no good grounds
But now they’re about to learn
The best have retreated to lick their wounds
And now they’re on the turn

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The sniggerers will drop down, one by one
And not without some pain
Now we’ll see who has most fun
The cream will rise again
