Final day Jitters

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Ticker racing
blood pressure high
one fan smiling
another about to cry.
Final game of season
bitten fingernail
rivals losing
getting out of jail.
One minute left
chap with radio on
lets out a scream
another team gone.
Final whistle blows
you’re not going down
hugging your mates
hitting the town.
Nerves all settled
big cheesy grin
you’re staying up
and you didn’t even win !

Notes

What a day yesterday and I was just an onlooker.
Most of us have been there though, one minute your down then your not, it really is drama at its best though to the neutral.
But that’s football it can be great and cruel all at the same time !
