Finding Voices

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 rain drenching toe curling
deep defending wind swirling
early days time to gel
late pen but all is well

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 signs of something different days
ditch the moaning yell your praise
suddenly we’re spoilt for choices
now the main stand’s finding voices

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 long long season lying waiting
good to see us dominating
patient probing from the back
signs of progress in attack

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 points are points I’m delighted
nothing’s easy we’re excited
sparks of progress on the pitch
negativity we ditch

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 make some noise show you care
let them know that we are here
came so close but we’ll achieve
believe believe believe believe..

Notes

Vanarama National League
Forest Green Rovers 2 York City 1.
New Lawn. Forest Green. Glos. 20.08.16

The long slog begins again. Rovers win their third game in a row have taken only one point from their first two games. Tranmere Rovers currently head the pack having won all five games so far. On a wet and windy afternoon in our greener than green eco-friendly hilltop setting Matt Tubbs secures all three points with late late penalty. The crowd are starting to find voices at last.
After finishing second last season to Cheltenham Town, who gained automatic promotion back to the Football League, FGR lost out to 5th placed Grimbsy in the Play Off Final at Wembley. Unlike higher up , only two teams are promoted from the National to the League.
