Finishing Line Is In Sight

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 It’s a crucial time of the season
who’s going up or down,
can Liverpool win the title
and lift the Premiership crown ?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 So who’s going to be relegated
go down to the Championship ?
all the teams at the bottom
are nervous of making a slip.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Yet Leicester City are already promoted
joining them will be Burnley,
but who will win the play offs
Q.P.R.,Wigan,Reading,or Derby ?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 At the foot of the table are Yeovil,
Barnsley,Charlton,Blackpool,and Millwall,
but which three are for the drop
and going to play League One Football ?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 But the Wolves are on the way up
and Brentford can join them too,
yet it could be curtains for Notts County
Stevenage,and the Railwaymen of Crewe.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Can Rochdale become the Champions
or Scunthorpe be kings of League Two ?
but Torquay look dead and buried
and Northampton may also end up blue.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Luton are coming back to the Football League
the Hatters where have you been ?
but sadly Crispin is down in the dumps
as mid-table beckons for his Forest Green !

Notes

If football was a horse race there would be just a few hurdles to get over before the finishing line is in sight.
As a Premier League onlooker I’d love to see Liverpool win the title as they haven’t won it yet and for Gerrard who deserves it for staying loyal.
My club should be safe but the ten point deduction has left us fans a bit jittery, but fair play to Wolves they are far too good for League One.
And congratulations to Luton Town as well but it would have been good to have seen Forest Green up with them just to see a picture of a jubilant Crispin !
