If I came on over and watched you play
I know you can score every now and then
But only play real hard, do the best you can

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I know you like to take throw ins and free kicks
And pass the ball with a little flick
You wish you played like Arsenal’s #7
But just remember that you’re only 11

On the sideline nobody cheers as loud
Even when the other team is so much better
You and your teammates always stick together

I know you’re not seeking any soccer fame
You and all those little girls, your teammates
Are getting head starts out of life’s starting gates

For my daughter, Rebecca, who is 11 years old and is looking forward to next month when the new season starts for her. She’s itching to kick that ball!
