If I Was Any Good …

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I wouldn’t be the last kid picked out from the line
I could practice my autograph in case I’m asked to sign

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I’d miss loads of lessons to go training with the squad
I’d proudly take my school kit home, when I got the nod

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I wouldn’t have to hand my homework in on time
I’d escape the teacher’s wrath for any petty crimes

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I’d be there smiling on the school team photograph
I wouldn’t have to listen to the sniggers or the laughs

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 I might score a goal with everyone there to see
I’d make new friends and they’d have to like me

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 I might get spotted by a top football scout
I’d even find myself a girl and get to take her out

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 I might win a medal and wear it all day long
I would get to feel like I finally belonged
