In My Local Pub

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 There they all are
In your local pub
Wearing their Man United shirts
Never even been to Old Trafford.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 So I wear my Cov City top
Just to annoy them really
If I had the bottle, I’d wear
a Barcelona one.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 When the second one goes in
Someone drops a pin
We all heard it.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The barman serves you
He’s got Rooney’s face
On his T-shirt, the two by
the pool table, they are both
“massive” Arsenal fans.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Me. I get the dirty looks
For wearing the Sky Blue
In my local pub, in Coventry.

Notes

I get the comments all the time, you’re still not supporting them are you ? Why not? They often come from those who when the team is on a good run, like in the Cup, they suddenly become fans again, the Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man United shirts get put away for a bit. At least I’m loyal, the only other shirt for me is England !!
