In Their Hands

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 They say it’s the most
Exciting title race in years
The die-hards would agree
Through the agony, the ecstasy and the tears

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Who’s got the stamina
Who can keep up the pace?
Which players are fit enough
Who’s season, through injury, is a waste?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 It’s about who needs it
Who wants it the most
Who hit the target
And who’s shots could only hit the post

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Its points that are won or lost
And points that are dropped
It’s not simply who won the most
That will emerge victorious at the top

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 You see there’s goal difference
Goals for, goals against
Who’s gone all out attack
And who’s most solid in defence?

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Will it be down to players
Or managers and their plans?
And so we’ll leave it to them
It’s all in their hands

Notes

Inspired by pundits and the odd cliche!
