Just like you

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 They call me “blackie”.
They call me “packie”
But I know what is true.
Underneath the skin,
I’m just the same as you.
The names that I get called.
They never pick me for football.
But they pick on me.
Steal from me:
I even have no friends.
Sometimes it feels, I’ll stay this way until the world ends.
Why do they tease me? I’m just a child.
Innocent. Very lonely and mild.
Taunting me: their voices echo in my head.
I have night mares about it when I go to bed.
“Ignore it “ mum says, “it will go away”.
That it may do. But the scars will stay.
They call me names but it’s just not true.
Underneath, I’m just like you.
