Justice For The 96

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Justice is sleeping
She covers her ears
Puts a mask on emotion
Pretends she can’t hear

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 But the days and the months
Have now turned into years
And 96 reasons
Remain with us here

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 For keeping the fight
For each voice to be heard
To speak out and challenge
With our paintings and words

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 We’ve been slagged off as scum
And so much worse
Robbin’ our dead as their blood
Stained the earth

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 “Typical Scousers”
You can just read the thoughts
But for 96 dead the truth
Has been bought

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Stitched up in the nets
Who in tragedy trawl
But think- it could’ve been you
A name on that wall

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Fathers and Mothers
Daughters and Sons
All counting the cost
And thy will not been done

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 Dig deep into your pockets
And send up your prayers
Remind those around you
Justice must come first

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 It’s not just about Liverpool
This touches us all
We should all stand together
Because divided we fall

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 The words I have written
Cost nowt and for free
Please lend your support
To the HJC.
