Kirkland’s curse hits GKNO1

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 At GKNO1 academy,
the best goalie school in the world,
the noise of the bunch of us clowning,
is often (loudly) heard.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Flame-haired Tom,
the one we laugh at most,
became a living legend by using his head..
..to make a dent in the post.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 We usually banter,
in no way sublime,
about Premiership blunders
that we see as crime.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Our bunch are lacking in Latics,
but still one boy moans
about injury prone Chris Kirkland,
he who has powder for bones!

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Tom’s had Kirkland’s curse before,
it’s something he won’t miss,
for when he was injured all the time,
he became known as Chris.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Tom again was first to go,
when we rediscovered this lark.
He sat barefoot with an ingrown toenail,
on the grass in Caedelyn park.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 One boy left, before the day was done,
a kid who’s known as Phil.
Officially he had to leave early,
we think the curse took him ill.

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 If things were bad, they sure got worse,
and I felt rather glum,
when after being lunged at two-footed,
I dislocated my thumb!

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 I stared at my (very) swollen hand,
and saw to my dismay,
that my thumb was shaking
and pointing the wrong way.

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 As I knocked the thumb back into place,
using Tom’s dented post,
I’d tell you (if he were dead)
I saw Chris Kirklands ghost.

11 Leave a comment on verse 11 0 I’m just glad that nothing’s broken,
since that wouldn’t be much fun.
Once again Chris Kirkland strikes
at GKNO1.

12 Leave a comment on verse 12 0 And on my birthday, what is worse,
than soreness and clicks,
is I can’t hold a remote control
or play Pro Evo 6!

Notes

thanking my brother for giving me pro evo 6 for my birthday.
