Life as a Manager

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Prowling the perimeter of the pitch
as opposed to the penalty area,
playing my part apart from the field –
nothing could be scarier.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Watching my girls battling it out,
shouting instructions and advice,
praise and encouragement –
this management is nice!

The schools year 7-9 girls team just played their first match this season. I’ve been coaching them since September and it was my first game ‘in charge.’ It’s a strange feeling traveling to a game and then NOT playing! According to the teacher (who only got to come because I can’t drive!) I am a Paul Ince-style manager. I have no idea what was meant by this comment – any suggestions? I can only assume it was a compliment ūüėČ
