Old hairdryer Ferguson once said
“Wayne’s foot is too painful to stand on”
The size of Ferguson, I’m not surprised,
let’s hope he didn’t stand there too long.

Poor Wayne’s metatarsals,
they’ve been through heck.
But remember brave Bert Trautmann,
dis-regarding his broken neck.

The Perse broke his scoring a goal,
a stunner against Man Ure.
Some say players these days are reckless,
others say boot manufacture is poor.

Whatever the case, we had a lesson,
biology, the other day.
I’m asked to name a bone in the foot.
