Midlands Pride

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 As relegation draws ever nearer
Some things have become so much clearer

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 This model club, once held up as a shining light
Has lost all hope, all ambition, all fight

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 And as fans watch games with tears in their eyes
Nothing can halt this painful demise

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Under Tony Pulis the football was so bad
He took away what little hope they ever had

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Now the hapless Pardew with no fresh ideas
Has just cemented all of the fan’s worst fears

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 This downward spiral, we’ve seen before
And us Wolves fans, we know the score

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 We have been there, done that and felt the pain
Something that we never want to repeat again

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 Hurt and angry fans vote with their feet
The terraces empty as they head for the street

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 Each ‘winable’ game that the Albion lose
Silences the singers and cheers turn to boos

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 It would be easy to gloat as a rival fan
But somehow I just don’t think I can

11 Leave a comment on verse 11 0 With Stoke also sinking out of sight
There’ll be no Midlands clubs in the top flight

12 Leave a comment on verse 12 0 The Midlands six may be finally gone
Next season Wolves could be only one

13 Leave a comment on verse 13 0 Midlands football has become a joke
Coventry, Blues, West Brom and Stoke

14 Leave a comment on verse 14 0 But Wolves are back and on the rise
And set to give the Prem a surprise

15 Leave a comment on verse 15 0 We’ll represent the Midlands and do it with pride
And maybe take Villa along for the ride!

Notes

Although as a Wolves fan I am expected to ridicule West Brom fans unmercifully whilst their club is going through an awful period. I simply feel nothing but sympathy for baggies fans and if , as we are expected to do, we gain promotion, I shall miss the Black Country Derby.
