My Addiction To…Celery, Celery!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 With the honesty of an England manager
I’ve got a confession to make
I’m a pusher, a dealer, a low life
I feel lower, right now, than a snake

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 When the jobsworths are searching the punters
For the green things, they throw in the air
I’m the mule with stalks stuffed up his jumper
I’m the spiv, stood there hawking his wares

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 When the first rhyme kicks in
I’m off on a wing and a prayer
To that fans special place

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Where the celery rains
When it addle’s me brains
A faint stupid smile lights me face

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Some out there would call me a loser
I’m celeriac, hooked on it all
Along with cheering them blues, I peruse
And sing…. Celery, Celery
Our ever-green ode to the salad and football!

Notes

I’m doing me very best to keep the “Save Our Celery” campaign going, otherwise all is…. compost!
