One For Sorrow. Part Four.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 An owl silently sat in an oak,
looking so sad, he was ready to choke.
A magpie flew in perched on a bough,
said, “Owl, you don’t look happy somehow.
The last time we met you saved my life,
tell me wise one, what’s giving you strife?”
“They’ve sacked the boss, no more life of Brian,
in the bottom three, I feel like crying.
Ten hours have gone by without a score,
blades above us, I can’t take any more”
The magpie had a thought for awhile,
knowing his team was top of the pile.
The owl had helped when he had been sad,
so he said, “Owl, life is not all bad,
Xmas is coming, time of good cheer.
Things will look up in the coming year.
Remember when you’re down on your luck,
you could have been a turkey or maybe a duck..”

Notes

Have your best xmas yet.

May your bird be plump and tender, if not go out and buy a turkey.

Remember a bird in the bush is better than two in the hand.
