Pass It, Past It.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 You can play forever and never tire
Plenty of time and boots for hire
But turn your back for just a second
And it’s all gone, old age doth beckon.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Play in the fields, play in the park
Play all day and when it gets dark
Take the chance play all you can
Because tomorrow you’ll awake a man

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Enjoy the gift, enjoy the game
Enjoy your goal and a minute of fame
Don’t wear a watch no need for time
For decades ahead you’ll tow the line

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 One on one or five a side
Whatever your team, play with pride
Win for joy or lose for sorrow
At least you played you’ll watch tomorrow

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Play centre forward or even the keeper
Your love of football will never be deeper
Just don’t hold the ball make sure you pass it
‘Cause it won’t be long before you’re past it.

Notes

I’ve reached that age, I’m not as fast, not as fit and boy does it hurt the next day.
I want to be 15 again !!!
